It is NOT ich. Why is ich always the answer for everything? It IS columnaris. The fungus answer was closer than the ich answer though. Columnaris, while caused by a different bacteria, is very similar looking to fungus and the causes are basically the same. One of the big differences in symptoms is that with columnaris, you get white fuzzy stuff on the lips. So, treat for columnaris.Why does my guppy have white lips? is it deseased? it cant really open its mouth either?

It may have ick. Go to your local pet store and discribe the symptoms to them. Ask if ick is a possibility. If so, there is a product called ';Ick Out'; and you simply add a few drops (as directed on bottle) to the water. Hope this helps.
I'm thinking there may be a possibility someone has it out for you.They are aware you love your guppies,therefore they put glue on your pet fish.
I'm not a guppy expert but it sounds a lot like columnaris. Treat with 1 tablespoon of salt per gallon and heat the tank to 83 degrees.
Water quality may be to blame.
It might be a mold infection. See the vet
