What is the best lip balm for very dry lips?

;]What is the best lip balm for very dry lips?
Carmex. its the best i have some it roxWhat is the best lip balm for very dry lips?
don't get anything with peppermint oil or anything that has methyl- at the beginning for everyday use. this is stuff that makes your skin feel tingly. your skin feels tingly because the moisture is evaporating from your lips. don't use vaseline or anything with petroleum, lanolin, or any other form of crude oil. this is like plastic wrap for your skin. it does not get absorbed into the skin like say coconut oil. it just sits on top of the skin, clogs your pores, and comes off in your food and on your clothes leaving you not only with the same dry lips as before but crude oil in your stomach. if you have olive oil or any other natural stuff, use that. my advice is to go to whole foods. they have the best stuff, but you might also get lucky at walmart or target. look at the ingredients, get something with shea butter and other natural stuff, no chemicals. my fave is alaffia. **** is hardcore.

edit*- forgot to add, also check for hydrogenated oils. this is trans fat - the stuff that clogs your arteries (you end up eating most of your lip balm). and i believe that the papaw stuff is petrolatum-based which pissed off a lot of moms a while back.
Mary Kay's Satin Lips!

It comes with a lip mask, and a lip balm.

First you use the lip mask, it exfoliates all the dry and dead skin from your lips, and you leave it on for a couple of minutes just like a face mask. Then you put on the lip balm, it will replenish all the vitamins and make your lips feel so good!!

You can find it here www.marykay.com/maripacheco
Murad Lip Therapy Pomegranate SPF 15.

It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it, since you get glossy lips and they get moisturized. The smell is actually pretty good! It's lightly sweet. Also, it leaves your lips with a light pink. :)

Burt's Bees ORIGINAL

This is probably the best one of the Burt's Bees collection. It has a very nice peppermint scent and it gives your lips a nice tingly feeling. I've heard from some people that their boyfriends love it when they kiss...if that worries you at times. It makes you lips really soft.

FlavaCraze Collection

These aren't that bad...they aren't crazy good either. You think that they smell okay at first, but then later on, it gets a bit childish and too fruity.

SoftLips

These are nice. A lot of flavors too. I've heard that the strawberry ones are the best.

Chapstick Collection

Alas, Chapstick! Surely everyone has heard of this before, right? The classic Cherry is great, but their new Peppermint is refreshing too.

Vaseline

I've only heard of people using this. I'm not sure if I'd ever want to try this, though, because it sounds rather nasty. Or maybe that's just me.

Anyways, try and go to this website: http://beautify-flr.blogspot.com/2008/11鈥?/a>

It was pretty helpful to me. :) Choose your lip balm carefully, though! Some lip balms don't work well at all. :(

Best of luck!
Natural Ice is my very favorite kind of chap stick! It works the absolute best. Blistex is also a really good brand, http://www.blistex.com/DCT.htm, and http://www.blistex.com/Lip%20Balm.htm are the absolute best kind. Those Blistex chap sticks are 'medicated' and they work great! Also, ';Soft Lips'; makes your lips sooo smooth! It's awesome - http://www.softlips.com/ . My lips are always chapped, so hopefully this helps!!
softlips! you can get it at target, cvs, etc. it's a good price and it's perfect to get it this time of year because they have their limited edition sugar cookie flavor which smells and tastes AMAZING. soo yeah it has SPF 20 so it gives you great protection but also moisturizes and conditions. loooooooove it!
from cvs, aquaphor advanced therapy, it's five dollars %26amp; completely and utterly amazing %26amp; it comes in a big jar so it lasts forever and doesn't get lost but small enough to fit in any size purse except the small clutches =]

%26amp; it doesnt smell or taste or feel wierd
Camax! Is the bomb like tick tick =)

It kind of burns a little bit at first and the taste and smell of the normal one is ish.

and how your lips kind of stick together and when the chapped skin peals off UGH gross!

lol oh my bad,

but other than that it works really good and fast
Bert's Bees is great, and its got a minty scent to it. There is also a great cocoa butter lip balm (by Palmer's) is great too. I usually just use a Vasoline or petroleum jelly when I'm home, but I'll use ';normal'; chap stick while I'm out.
TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

I HAD REALLY DRY LIPS AFTER SKIING AND I ASKED ONE OF MY FRIENDS THE SAME QUESTION. SHE SAID LUCAS'S PAW PAW OINTMENT WHICH CAN BE USED ON LIPS, SORES AND CUTS PLUS GRAZES.

I JUST WORKED WONDERS!

I REALLY REALLY RECCOMEND IT!!!!!

THIS IS NOT HARD TO FIND IF YOU LIVE IN AUSSIEOR NZ CAUSE YOU CAN JUST FIND IT IN ALL OF THE GOOD PHARMACYS
It's really a matter of trial and error to find one that works for you. Personally, I alternate between Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment and Carmex (sometimes Aquaphor), but it's best to keep yourself hydrated from the inside out to prevent dry skin.
Burtz Bees and Carmex!

But the best thing to do ever is:

Get regualr table sugar

wet lips

rub with sugar

rinse

put on thick layer of vasaline

rub with old tooth brush

put on more vasaline

sleep

:) ope i helped. caryy some lip balm is ur pocket, k?
Vaseline Lip Therapy, the one with blue cap. It's very good and it's nearly tasteless. Or you can use the Vaseline with the pink cap, it's also good.
I love the lip conditioner by aularale.com/7002 - vitamin e enriched - works very well alone, under or over lip color/gloss.
Definately carmex! They work great!!!

I hate using chapstick, for me it makes it worse and it leaves a yucky taste in my mouth... blah!!!

Carmex is really cheap. About 2 bucks at wal-mart and a tube lasts forever =]

ACTUALLY works. like immediatly.
just use ';Vaseline:';

100%petroleum jelly.

its in all chapsticks. no flavor/funky smell.

its great=)
Carmex. The regular flavor's kinda nasty though so get cherry or strawberry. I also love my Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Lip Balm. Omg and my Bath and Body Works is amazing too lol =]
I carry flavored Chapstick with me all the time. When it's really really bad though, Vaporub does a great job...if you can stand it. Tastes really awful, but softens and smooths anything.
protroleum jelly

i have the SAME prob!!! my lips get so dry and its a pain but i like the jelly
Clinique SuperBalm.
Boroline
carmax is good and it only like 88 cents
