Why does my dogs lips move when he's reading?

Shall I send him some flash cards to help him over come this problem.

PS my cat says that your dog should have stopped lip moving at 6 months old. He should know, He got straight A's last termWhy does my dogs lips move when he's reading?
that's not a nice way to talk about your partner. Why does my dogs lips move when he's reading?
he's whispering, your lucky your dog can read, take him to Simon Cowell
This phenomenon is also observed in some humans and is usually taken as an indication that they are not very bright. Lip movement, mouthing the words as they read them, means they are having to concentrate very hard to take in the written prose.

As dogs are generally considered to have much less brain capacity than the average human, I would imagine that it is perfectly normal for a dog to do this and would think it an exceptional situation if it didn't.
Your dog can read!
Have you tried asking him?
My dog is smarter than your dog because his lips do not move when he is reading. His brother's lips do because he is a much slower reader.
my dog does it too. we took him in for a neurological test and it turns out that he's trying to learn to read. the lips moving is a display of concentration.
haha your answers are well funny. I'm at work and I'm dying to laugh out loud.

Do you think you'll be able to teach him to sing soon. Put MTV on a see what happens!
cuz he's just reading to himself but not out loud
the question is why cant u able to hear him read?
clever dog give him a star
your dog reads???????
He's trying to memorise what he reads!
Are you deaf , the poor dog is telling you something.
He is sounding out the words.. Reading is new to him.. Besides he has been watching you..
He says it`s snout to do with you.
its quite normal
Maybe he is whispering the words to himself.
WOW !!! You have one clever dog there, have you contacted the press....LOL
doesn麓t make sense at all.
he wants to share the story...listen closely.
Your dog is probably deeply concentrating on what he is reading. He is more than likely thinking what will happen when Gordon Brown becomes Prime Minister, will it affect his pension, you know, stuff like that. Does your dog wear glasses or contacts?
you're dog can't read and if he can go call the press!!
