How do i make my lipstick stay on nicely without going into the cracks in my lips and going all dry?

and no its not cus iv got a cheap crap lipstick, its good stuff!!!How do i make my lipstick stay on nicely without going into the cracks in my lips and going all dry?
I always put a tiny bit of vaseline on first to create a smooth base. apply lippy, blot with tissue and reapply - this helps it last a longer.

hope that helps xxHow do i make my lipstick stay on nicely without going into the cracks in my lips and going all dry?
firstly gently exfoliate your cracked lips with a toothbrush so they are really smooth, then apply lip balm smothered all over lips %26amp; then wipe the excess lip balm off and apply a coat of lippy and keep applying all night.
Do start your day by drinking a glass of plain water first. Then put on your lip balm and glide your lipstick on. This will allow your lipstick to last longer throughout the day too.
heres what to do.... they told us this in modeling school

DONT cake it on/over apply

put a thin line of lipstick in the center of your lip(start aith the bottom)

rub it in with your finger.

repeat for the top

finish off with lip gloss

and mousturize your lips (wear vaseline on them over night and they will be perfect by morning!)

GOOD LUCK luv!
after the lipstick put on vasaline and then if u want a lil lip gloss
use a lip balm first, use a soft pencil to outline then fill in with colour. Don't use anything too dark
I think the key is to use a high quality lipstick that will moisten and protect you lip all day. I used to believe that all makeup are the same and we pay more money just for marketing. But, last month, for the first time I tried Dior addict lipstick, wow, what a difference, it is creamy and felt so great on my lips. When I got home, I threw out all my drugstore brand makeups. For dry lips, dior addict lipstick is a really great choice, but it is not long lasting though.
apply a clear lipgloss fully to your lips first, filling all the cracks. Then apply the lipstick.
Put a coat of chap stick over the lipstick that should help fill in the cracks and moisturize.
apply a lip balm before lipstick or buy a lipstick that contains vitamin E.
Try Mary Kay Lip Primer. It prevents bleeding into the cracks and puts a base on your lips to moisterize, make it stay on longer and look creamier. I love this product!
Use Blistex (or is it called Blisteze?) the little tiny tube with red lid, ithe original one not the new glossies it is minty and the best thing ever for healing lips and stopping them flake.Make up artist trick of the trade,it works.Put it on as a base under your lippy, apply lip colour with a brush, blot with tissue and top with gloss.use the Blistex at night too or Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is fantastic to heal cracked lips or as an overnight moisture treatment.xx
put foundationon the lips first and chapstick then the lipstick on
brsh teeth

dry lips

use a hard tooth brush to crumble away the dryness

use a light coco lip balm and then apply the lipstick

i mix my lipstick with a touch of vasaline it sounds nasty but my lips stay moisterized and sexy the whole day :%26gt;
I use a powder on top of the lips its smooths out the lips, and fills all the area, the powder settles it all in the lips, however you will have a matte look this way
I would use a lip creme before applying your lip color to help with dry lips, after applying your lip color, top it off with a lip gloss to keep the shine, and seal the color.
ha ha well go for putting a bit lip balm over the top or use maybelline 24hour last lipstick thats really good especially on a night out. i find it that good its still on in the morning (dont think im a minger for not takin it off some times im not able bodied to do so lol) :)
So here's the deal. The key to great looking lipstick is soft supple moist lips. Unfortunately, the skin on our lips is non-porous, which means it can't hydrate itself. It needs our help. Unfortunately, most products we buy to moisturize our lips contain a product called salicylic acid. SA is a drying agent found in a lot of acne treatment products to dry out pimples and blackheads (read the labels). So while the lip balms initially moisturize the lips because the product itself is moist, eventually the SA will dry out the lips. So what do we do? We put on more and more balm until we look like we've been eating Crisco straight from the can! Oddly enough, we keep buying the stuff! Go figure.

Someone else on here recommended the Lip Primer by Mary Kay, and while it's a great base for your lipstick, I'd also recommend the Satin Lips Set by Mary Kay. The Lip Mask gently exfoliates the dead skin from the surface of your lips and the Lip Balm is the only one I know of that doesn't contain salicylic acid! I'm sure there may be one or two others, but I couldn't tell you what they are.

So here's what you do:

Satin Lips Lip Mask (once or twice a week is plenty)

Satin Lips Lip Balm (once daily/as needed)

%26lt;You should always blot any excess balm before proceeding.%26gt;

Mary Kay Lip Primer

Your Favorite Lip Liner

Your Favorite Lipstick

Your Favorite Lip Gloss

Enjoy picture perfect lips everytime that even last through lunch, the ultimate test!
If you want to wear lipstick or any other lip colour you need to prepare your lips properly. This is especially important at this time of year when cold weather and central heating wreak havoc on your poor lips as they don't contain any oil glands. I recommend you try Lipscription by Benefit which costs approx 拢23. This is a kit containing a lip exfoliator and a balm. The exfoliator is a cream which you gently buff your lips with and then remove with a washcloth or tissue, You then apply the silky balm and allow it to sink in. You will be left with a perfect base for colour. If you are on a tight budget, try applying petrolium jelly to your lips and gently buffing with a toothbrush!
u could try using a concealer then blotting the access off, then appling a lip pencil this is normally a really good way of keeping ur lippy in one place
put lib balm under it fist....try like blistex or something like that
