One of the inner lips of my vagina is really long, purple and bumpy, and its gross! is it bad?

its about 5 cm long, stretched out longer. Is this not normal and it get uncomfortable, like itchy sometimes. I went to the doctor about it like a year ago, but since then its grown longer. The doctor said i shouldnt worry unless it get longer and itchier. So i'm worrying, does anyone else have this? Is it harmful? And is it possible to surgically remove it?One of the inner lips of my vagina is really long, purple and bumpy, and its gross! is it bad?
My mom just has it.

She had it popped (by a male doctor =o) but ANOTHER one appeared. Now she is having surgery, it is not a diffucult surgery and there's basically been NO ONE who's died from it ever, and few infections. One of the inner lips of my vagina is really long, purple and bumpy, and its gross! is it bad?
Unless it's actually GROWING in a short period of time and staying at that new length, then this is totally normal. Many women have inner vaginal lips of different lengths and different colors ranging from purples to pinks and reds. And little bumps are also normal. So your doctor is right, unless it actually changes in size, it's fine. It's not bad at all and it's not going to effect your hygiene or sexual health at all. Your partner is not going to notice and the only thing you ever really have to worry about is it possibly getting in the way a little bit right before you have sex in which case you can move it a little with a finger in about 0.5 seconds. Not an issue, don't let anyone tell you otherwise and don't feel bad about normal variations on your body.
It sounds like a normal vag lip. It's not harmful at all-that's just the way you are. There are procedures that some women opt for to reduce or remove their inner lips, called a vaginoplasty, but they are very expensive. Insurance may cover part of it if you can convince them that you are doing it because the lip is causing you pain or discomfort, but vaginoplasty is generally a purely cosmetic surgery. Unless it's physically bothering you, I think you should leave it alone.
I too have lips that hang out. It's VERY normal and they're called the labia or ';butterfly wings';. Mine are pink and a bit bumpy. Surgery is an option but I don't recommend it as some peeps I know say they lost sensation there. Men really don't care about lips at all. Sometimes the longer they are, the more a man likes them -) Men have never moaned in the past and my current b/friend thinks they're sexy!
Well, it's normal, but I think because it's such a sensitive area that it's constantly irritated is why it's itchy. Surgical removal from what I have read online isn't too much trouble, it can easily be done I think, but ask your doctor. Go to the doctor as he said come back if it's longer and itchier. Good luck.
go see a gynnocologist...its normal for them to be a bit longer sometimes, and u might have a chaffing rash if they rub making them itchy... or thrush... both are easily treated by pharmacy medication, but its much better to be safe then sorry so id get it checked.
yes it can be removed, not a difficult or very expensive surgery.

i had mine removed on both sides and now i feel much better cause it used to bother me a lot.

no more itchy parts..for me.!
It sounds a bit like a varicose vein.

If it is, then it's not fatal however check it out with your doctor.
It's abnormal but will not affect your health. And yes, you can sutgically remove it
yes you can have an op to have it removed/made smaller, go see your doc and see what they recommend
that just nasty
