Why is it that the words on a strangers lips (i.e., the internet) can be more beneficial than relationships ?

with people we ';supposedly'; know in the ';real world';?Why is it that the words on a strangers lips (i.e., the internet) can be more beneficial than relationships ?
One reason people prefer watching TV to getting active social lives, is that they don't feel judged when they watch television. I heard this somewhere. Why is it that the words on a strangers lips (i.e., the internet) can be more beneficial than relationships ?
they don't know you, so they won't judge you (and even if they do, you won't know it), so sometimes you can be more upfront and honest with a stranger you're never really going to talk to. and vice versa. strangers will tell you things and secrets a friend/family member may not, because they know you will never be there to hold it against them

also, with more strangers, more brains, a broader pool of experiences and wider range of opinions to hear from

but internet info %26amp; words can also be less helpful or more hurtful or futile than from a relationship

it depends
Because those who love us tell us like it is. With strangers on the internet we can ';opinion shop'; til we hear what we like.

It's also very easy to tune out a stranger : picture fingers in the ears and ';la la la'; : while it is not so easy to ignore those we know %26amp; love.
The law of diminishing importance.

You may lose the internet connection in the blink of an eye; the one you ';know'; you can observe and take for granted that he will ';be there.'; So it seems more important to make the connection before it evaporates.
because there is no vested interest in which way you choose to go from ';strangers';.
