My lips are severely chapped and have a red line underneath them. What is the best thing to use to get rid of it. I started using Vaseline and medicated chapstick. Does anyone know anything that would help and how long it would take for it to go away? Please Help.How to heal Chapped lips?

Get a lip balm that doesn't have petroleum in it. The petroleum (which is in vaseline and chap stick) just sits on your lips, it doesn't penetrate the skin to moisturize. Try one with shea butter or the like. You may not be able to find one like that at the drug store, it might require a trip to the health food store, but it's worth it. Badger is my favorite brand. You'll notice a big difference after just a few uses of that. Be sure to apply it right before bed, too. After they start to feel a little better, mix a teaspoon of sugar with a few drops of water in your hand and exfoliate your lips with that, and immediately follow it with your lip balm. Your lips will be sof and smooth in no time at all!
Use olive oil. Place some on your lips in the evening, before bedtime. Use it a few times during the day. Within 7 days you will notice the difference.
you should try using car max comes in a yellow tube with red a red cap try using it 2-3 times a day every day this should i tryed it a million times
What you are using is great. Just give them the chance to heal. Once it heals a little in a day or two, exfoliate the dead skin off with your tooth brush when you brush your teeth and then put more chap stick on

no its not a disease.. skin around the lips needs more care beacuse its delicate and dry enough to get tan .... and if u suck ur lips ,u have to get rid of this habit...massage the skin with a good and rich spf moisturiser... sometimes threading also affect bad to delicate skin..try some other hair removing options beside threading.. u wil get the beter result in few days.. and apply honey on the tanned skin

My upper lip is pretty badly chapped and it's starting to really bother me. I hate blistex and chapstick and all those things. Despite this, I put some blistex on last night and left it on overnight, but my lip seems to be even more chapped than it was before.

use chapstick at night, not blistex. blistex makes my lips chapped aslo. i just apply regular cherry chapstick before i go to sleep and in the am and my lips aren't chapped anymore.
